  • IntraMicron, Inc. is formed to commercialize the microfibrous materials technology developed at Auburn University.
2002
  • IntraMicron acquires pilot-scale roll-to-roll paper machine capable of producing nonwoven fibrous media.
  • IntraMicron acquires the assets of MicroMetal Fibers, Inc., located in Gahanna (Columbus), OH.
  • IntraMicron starts leasing 6,000 square foot operational facility at 368 Industry Dr., Auburn, AL and starts 10,000 square foot addition.
2003
  • IntraMicron moves metal fiber production equipment and expertise to 16,000 square foot facility in Auburn, AL.
  • IntraMicron successfully produces high quality metal microfibrous media on paper machine.
2004
  • IntraMicron participates as a subcontractor in first collaborative research project with Auburn University.
2005
  • IntraMicron undertakes two additional collaborative research projects with Auburn University.
2006
  • IntraMicron performs first successful pilot polymer fiber pilot nonwoven media trial.
2007
  • IntraMicron is awarded first industrial subcontract by Ceramatec.
  • IntraMicron is awarded first prime contract and awards first academic subcontract to Auburn University.
  • IntraMicron manufactures polymer fiber pilot nonwoven media at full scale.
2008
  • IntraMicron adds extremely short fiber chopping capability (<0.2 mm).
2009
  • IntraMicron grants first industrial subcontract to Ceramatec, a division of CoorsTek.

  • IntraMicron purchases facility at 368 Industry Drive, Auburn, AL.
